Come picnic with us!
We love picnics. We picnic with friends.
Recently my family went kite-flying cum picnic with some friends at night.
We had grapes! And some less healthy picnic food…
We picnic even more as a family. We do it both in the day, and in the night.
We celebrated National Day 2011 and 2012 at the Marina Barrage.
Yes, I am wearing the same red top.
Elkan and Elias looked quite the same.
Samuel and I looked older. *Sob sob*
A night picnic is the typical way for us to celebrate the Lantern Festival.
We would eat mooncake and pomelo, and drink Chinese tea.
The children will play with their lanterns, whatever form they are in.
This was in 2011.
Now that the children are older, we go out less often. Age is also catching up on us, and we have less energy for such activities. But we know that the children need to get out, and these picnics have been great family bonding times. So we really appreciate it when other people organise picnics and invite us.
So of course we are going for the Rise and Shine Picnic carnival. We are not going to lose the opportunity to be part of the biggest breakfast picnic event ever! (Guinness Book of Record, here we come!)

It will be held on 3 March 2013, Sunday, 8:30am – 12:30pm at The Lawn @ Marina Bay. Early bird registration at $8 per adult (Free for child below 12!). First 1000 registrants will receive a goodie bag worth $100!
There are lots of exciting activities like Sports-try-out, Best-dressed Mummy-and-baby contest and Huge bouncy castles for the kiddies!
