Citiblocs!
School is out and now starts the long, lazy days… What is a mother to do… We always discourage the children from watching TV and playing too much computer games. So the boys have a good reading habit and enjoy playing boardgames and physical toys. When a mumtreprenuer friend at My first games brought over Citiblocs, we were delighted.
The high quality wooden construction blocks come in five different types of colours : Natural, Cool, Hot, Camo and Neon! The unique feature about these blocks are that each and every piece is exactly the same shape and size.
The boys started off building regular houses.
Then in the manner of my boys, they started being competitive and challenged each other to see who could make a structure which is the tallest and strongest. They tried to blow each other’s building down. Although the individual block pieces were quite light, the structures were really not easy to blow down.
I ended the challenge before it exploded into a real war..
and before either one of them passed out.
They also built some unusual things.
I term these “Tropical theme”.
There is a swimming pool, waterfall and obviously some palm trees…
I term these “Military stuff”.
The two square boxes were things Samuel built to trap ants.
He actually put some food inside.
Eventually a poor unsuspecting ant found its way into the structure.
Samuel tried unsuccessfully to continue to trap it inside.
But he had fun.
The blocks are really quite flexible. Elias could even build a bed.
This was my favoutire.
The person is the same color as the bed.
The blue color is the bolster and the green color is the blanket.
We even brought it along when we visited some friends, and they had fun playing too.
The pink and yellow ones are so pretty! They were a hit with the girls.
My boys avoided touching them altogether..
